It's made from swiss dotted cotton, in navy blue. I thought you could only get it in white until I found a UK online fabric shop that did so.many.colours! Thank God I was in my "only buy fabric you need" phase of my career otherwise I'd be swimming in the stuff.
I drafted the front myself based on what I thought it should look like, based in turn from fashion plates and other bloggers who've made their own. The back was from my regency ball gown.
It's mostly machine sewn, but the lining, which is kind of bag-lined (not HA, #sorrynotsorry), but finished by hand.
It creases like an absolute swine, just in case you were thinking about making something with this fabric. I'm now afraid to take out the white ball gown I made from the same fabric.....
